Executive Director (ED) Charles Whitehurst has been a 5LINX business partner since October 2010 and in that short span of time, he has proven a lingering point, that “age is just a number”. This 72-year-old retired United States Marine Corps veteran was nominated at the Training and Oscars Award Dinner & Party held on November 18th in Arlington, Virginia receiving nominations in categories as “Best Qualifier”, “Best Executive Trainer” and “Most Coachable”. He tied for first place in the category “Yound at Heart”.
Whitehurst made Executive Director in just 30 days and holds true to his personal motto, “the difficult I can do immediately, and the impossible takes 15 minutes longer”. During a monthly co-founder company call, he was recognized as being tied as the 5th highest producer of 5LINX partners within the 5LINX Company in the month of November 2010.
Charles B. Whitehurst, Sr. honorably served 21 years in the US Marines rising from his entry-level rank as a Private First Class in 1955 and subsequently retiring in 1976 a the rank of Major. His “can do spirit” seems to repeat his list of some awesome accomplishments throughout his past ten years as an elected member of the Portsmouth City Council where he is the Vice Mayor.
But, that is not the end of this report. ED Monique Bass was nominated in two categories “Best Swagger” and “Best Opening Act” while SVP Lester Garrett was named SVP of the Year.
